Growl

Growl is an application that allows you to configure any notification like arriving of a new email. With Growl you can choose the response or the alert type of any notification. Growl makes notification alerts only visual, only audible, both or none.

Growl can make notifications subtle and forward them to another computer, run a script, lunch a program, send an email or read them loud, depends of the notification importance and the command you set Growl to execute when they appear. Growl has an intuitive interface with many useful commands and it must be set the right way to work proper giving you the power to preset a response for any notification.
